The school lunch on this day was absolutely terrible. This has to be the most illegal thing on the planet god damn earth. How does one mess up pizza? Well, my school has found a way to do this. Opening the take out box, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. I rubbed my eyes and laughed a little while I looked at this terrible looking pizza that sat in front of me. I picked it up and instantly felt how terrible this truly was. The cardboard feeling pizza sat in my hand as I sat there in disbelief that this school was even serving something like this. I took a bite and I felt instant regret. Not only did this feel like cardboard, it TASTED like cardboard. The cheese was not stringy, the bread tasted like cardboard, and the sauce was just nauseating. I haven’t even gotten to the broccoli, because oh boy… Look at how beautifully plated this is! SIKE. It literally looks like they slapped that on there and called it a day, only three pieces of broccoli and a measly little crumb of the leftover broccoli on the spoon they used to serve it. I hate Friday lunch.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so absolutely disgusting like this school lunch. I didn’t really have high expectations for the school lunch but when I opened the styrofoam container to see THIS throwup of a meal. Looking at this makes me think they threw up in this container, slapped some bread on it with some green beans and called it a day. Is this even real food? IS THIS EVEN LEGAL TO SERVE? The mashed potatoes, or at least what I think are mashed potatoes, weren’t the greatest but also weren’t the worst thing when it came to this meal. The mashed potatoes could have used some work but the rest of the meal needed a lot of work. I couldn’t even tell what this was at first until I realized it was supposed to be some sort of chicken with pepper? God knows if this is real chicken, it tasted absolutely awful. It had the worst consistency when eating it and also just stated kind of bland. Not only did this look like it was thrown up but it FELT like it was. This meal looks like something a mommy bird ate and spit up in the mouth of her babies and I can’t believe that the staff thought this was something good to serve. I never want to taste something like this ever again and I just… I really cannot trust the school lunch anymore. This entire meal fills me with rage and also just sadness because I was so terribly hungry.
What even is this? At first glance this looks like it would be chicken with some sauce and cheese, call it chicken parmesan but it’s not even chicken? It’s pizza. Or is it supposed to be pizza at least? This has to be the weirdest thing they have served yet, but it’s not disgusting like everything else they have served before. I don’t have much to say about this, only that I find it incredibly sad.
It was pretty good.
You don’t understand the amount of feelings I have for this THING. I refuse to even call this food because this was in fact inedible. This was the worst thing this school has ever served and if I saw anyone eating this, it is on sight. This is quite literally cat food, looks like it just came out of the can and everything. Actually no, to call this cat food would be disrespectful because I would never even feed this to a cat. No cat on planet god damn earth deserves a platter of food like this. What went through the school's head when they saw this and STILL decided to serve it? They really think that we’re gonna eat this crap? Us seniors have the last lunch wave during academics and after such a long day of school and our classes we would like at least a decent meal but no. Instead of some mozzarella sticks or chicken nuggets, we get throw up on a styrofoam tray. If you look closely, it looks like some fat was just thrown on this plate and they called it a day. The mashed potatoes I can excuse, they weren’t the most awful thing on planet earth and as for the corn, absolutely no opinion. I didn’t actually eat this lunch or anything that came with it but I just know it tasted awful. I can imagine the texture in my mouth and I already want to throw up. It looks raw and disgusting, do better Wright Tech.
mid.
Stale chicken on horrible tasting bread. This whole entire thing tasted like it was left out for like 3 days it was so stale. I personally did not eat it but I did see it and held it. I could tell that this was not good. This is such a bare looking meal that I don't even understand how they thought it would fill up students. This is unbelievable and I think the lunch is slowly getting worse every day. Do better Wright Tech :/
What is it with Wright Tech and their dry chicken? These chicken nuggets would be so much better if they just weren't dry as hell. The fact that I have to dip these chicken nuggets in so much ketchup is a red flag in my book! The fries were decent but need some more salt, they just taste like regular potatoes but they weren't awful. The chicken nuggets is what gets me every time, they also aren't awful but there is something about eating dry chicken that makes my body take a screenshot. Not a fan. The orange juice that comes with every meal wasn't terrible and I don't usually talk about it but I've decided to speak my mind on the orange juice they serve. The orange juice is a big gamble, will it be sour or sweet today? I don't know what it is about the juice but it never tastes the same, it's either decent or extremely awful. IT'S THE SAME BRAND, WHY DOES IT TASTE DIFFERENT EVERYDAY? I didn't taste the orange juice today but my buddy Vitor did, here is his opinion in place of mine. "It was normal, better than usual and it wasn't frozen." Do what you please with his opinion.
When I saw this meal when I was in the lunch line, I knew it was gonna be a good day. The pasta itself is mid but there is something about the meat that kinda makes it better. It was a decent meal, it did the job and I'm not that mad at it. That beautiful garlic knot on the other hand, I can talk about it for hours. They surprise us every once in a while with a beautiful tasting garlic knot that is warm and soft. I have, of course, had better garlic knots but for a school lunch, it was quite good. Now let me talk about the orange juice real quick, it was pretty good today. It didn't taste too bitter but it also was just simply Wright Tech orange juice. I don't have a lot of bad things to say for this one, good job Wright Tech.
This pizza was shocking to see I won't even lie. I quite honestly don't really have a lot of words for this one. It's definitely pizza and it was kind of bad. It has a bit of a weird taste and it's quite obvious that it is a frozen pizza. Frozen pizza has this specific taste and I can spot it from a mile away. Having this after the garlic knot and pasta lunch was just a dissapointment and I was extremely let down. I should not have let my guard down, I got my hopes up. It just doesn't look appetizing either looking at the picture for it and don't get me started on the broccoli. The broccoli wasn't good at all and it's never good tbh because of the way they make it. Everything Wright Tech makes could use a little more salt to be completely honest with you. Maybe I do have a lot of words for this meal, oops. The orange juice was also decent yesterday, it was definitely orange juice. It didn't taste bitter or it wasn't completely frozen so it gets a pass in my book.
The school lunch today was an interesting one that's for sure. It wasn't terrible, the tator tots were quite delicious actually. The sausage egg and cheese wasn't absolutely terrible like it has been in the past all thanks to it being on an english muffin. Unfornutely the english muffin could not save everthing about this meal. The sandwich itself just tasted a little off but I ate it anyways. I can't quite pin the flavor, I cannot describe it but just know it tasted a little odd. Like I said before, it wasn't the most terrible thing I ever tasted but it could be so much better. I think it's something about the egg in these types of sandwiches that they serve, one little nibble and you know it's frozen. Not saying that everything frozen is bad but I am not a fan of the schools frozen eggs. Now lets talk about the orange juice for today! The orange juice has been on a roll lately with the way that it tastes. It tasted like some normal J.M Wright Tech orange juice that's for sure, but the good thing is that it didn't taste bitter.
I think that this lunch was definitely one of the better ones. The beautiful amazing garlic knot makes an appearance once again. These are the best part of the entire lunch. The pasta shells aren't that bad to be completely honest. This is a good lunch, you see this lunch and you know it's gonna be good.
